SMALL VERSION

My name is Aaron Moore. My father’s family is Coast Salish and Scandinavian, while my mother’s ancestry traces back to Ireland and England. As a counsellor walking in both worlds, I have had the honour of supporting my community in both Indigenous and mainstream mental health settings.

My practice is client-centered, offering personalized support tailored to each individual’s needs. I primarily draw from Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Response-Based Practice to help clients navigate their challenges. My passion lies in supporting individuals and couples in fostering harmony and success in their relationships. This work is complemented by my experience facilitating groups for men seeking cultural support or guidance in strengthening their relationship skills.

Outside of my counselling work, my wife and I are blessed to be raising our beautiful baby boy. When I’m not spending time with my family, you can often find me playing the Creator’s game—lacrosse.

I look forward to hearing and honouring your unique story.

As a therapist, I work primarily from the foundations of Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Feminist Theory, and Response-Based Practice. These approaches guide my work in centering clients’ lived experiences, highlighting their strengths, and co-creating meaningful change rooted in their values and goals.

My practice is also informed by my identity as a mixed Indigenous person, and I strive to bring a culturally grounded and respectful lens to each therapeutic relationship. I recognize the importance of culture, identity, and community in shaping our stories, and I aim to create a space that honours those connections.

In sessions, my style is warm, lighthearted, collaborative, and conversational. I work alongside clients—not as an expert on their lives, but as a respectful and thoughtful guide—supporting them in reclaiming their own knowledge, agency, and voice. I prioritize safety, dignity, and respect in all my work, and I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each person or couple I work with. I believe in using humour to heal and provide light during difficult or dark conversations.

Whether we are unpacking personal narratives, exploring relational dynamics, or navigating systems of power and oppression, my goal is always to walk beside my clients with compassion, curiosity, and clarity.
