Hope For Wellness Helpline
<p>The Hope for Wellness Helpline is available to all Indigenous people across Canada. Experienced and culturally competent counsellors are reachable by telephone and online ‘chat’ 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.</p><p>Both telephone and online chat services are available in English and French. Telephone support is also available upon request in:</p><ul><li>Cree;</li><li>Ojibway (Anishinaabemowin);</li><li>Inuktitut.</li></ul>

Community Outreach Response (COR) - Nanaimo
<p><br>Mobile outreach service providing community-based crisis response services for all ages including street-based outreach.</p><p>The COR team provides rapid, mobile, community-based response to all age groups, including children, youth and families in crisis. The team is comprised of nurses, social workers, clinicians, rehab workers and peer support workers.<br><br><strong>Eligibility:</strong> Anyone can access this service if they are experiencing urgent distress or immediate concerns related to mental health and/or substance use issues in the Nanaimo area.<br><br><strong>Services May Include:</strong></p><ul><li>Harm reduction supplies and support</li><li>Mental, physical or emotional assessments and supports</li><li>Consultation, assessment, referrals & short-term follow-up for mental health and substance use issues</li></ul><p><strong>How to Access:</strong> Call the Vancouver Island Crisis Line (1-888-494-3888) to receive immediate support, while the individual is connected with the COR team as needed.</p><p><br></p><p>Toll Free: 1-888-494-3888</p><p><a href="https://maps.google.com/?q=Nanaimo,+British+Columbia,+Canada">Nanaimo, British Columbia</a></p><p><strong>Hours of Operation</strong> are from 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM, 7 days a week.</p><p><strong>Cost:</strong> No cost</p><p><strong>Referral options:</strong></p><p><strong>Details:</strong> No referral is required</p>
